Qualifications and Skills

  • At least one season of farming experience desired. Flower farming or floral design experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. from feet to chest, and to stand for long periods.
  • Reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in inclement weather.
  • Ability to stay motivated and efficient during repetitive and/or solo tasks.
  • Passion for flowers, farming and an eagerness to learn.
  • Desire to be part of a tight-knit team.
  • Strong emphasis on quality control and customer service.

Pay and Benefits

  • Wage: DOE $16-$18.50 / hr + Weekly Flowers.
  • Enrollment in CalSavers Retirement Savings Program.
  • Seasonal Variable Part-Time (March-November) with the possibility of Full-Time, or Year-Round Part-Time work.
  • Performance Reviews and the possibility of promotions and/or raises.
  • Opportunities for long-term employment and advancement.

SEEKING:

Hardworking, well-organized,  highly self-motivated individuals to join our fast-paced field crew. We’ll plant, weed, trellis, irrigate, fertilize, prune, harvest, bunch and pack our gorgeous flowers, and bring them to market or prepare them for pick-up.  This position requires work both in the field, barn, and at the farmers markets.  Occasional work at wedding installations is possible.
